PPR: Good News, Good News

PPR turned out a strong second quarter. Gucci sales were up 9.8 percent and Bottega Veneta a whopping 48 percent. In a recently published report, Redburn Partner's analyst Lisa Rachal said the Gucci store revamp was helping boost sales? How? By putting the cheaper product on higher floors, forcing consumers to walk by jewellery and ready-to-wear in order to reach it. This simple move has raised the average purchase price, she wrote.

But it's Bottega that has got her really excited, with price points as high as Hermes and a underdeveloped store network, she predicts that the brand will do sales of 1 billion euro in the next five years.
