LVMH Good News, Bad News

LVMH announced that the creative director of Mulberry, Stuart Vevers, is to take the top post at Loewe. Vevers has been credited with bringing Mulberry back into fashion. Loewe has been one of the sad step-children at LVMH -- never getting the attention it needed -- and it is thought that with Vevers at the helm the Spanish brand might get going again.

But all is not happy in the Bernard Arnault playground. In the gyms of Manhattan, Marc Jacobs, the designer at Louis Vuitton, has been heard complaining about John Galliano, the designer at Christian Dior. Play nicely, boys.
