Halston Gets Another Designer

Marco Zanini is the latest designer to try his hand at reviving the Halston brand. He was recommended to Tamara Mellon, who sits on Halston's board of directors and will work with stylist Rachel Zoe, who is on Halston's advisory board. Luckily Zanini has spent the last eight years at Versace, so he knows a thing or two about working with strong female personalities. He's got another thing going for him from the point of view of the new owners, which include Harvey Weinstein -- he doesn't have his own label so he won't be distracted by visions of the Zanini name in lights. His collection is expected to debut in February.
