Barneys, Bergdorfs And The Jewish Shopping Vote

As predicted, a Middle Eastern company, Istithmar, has bought Barneys. I spoke to a fashion director in London about the sale of Harrods to Mohammad Al-Fayed back in 1985. She said the city's Jewish shoppers quickly turned to Selfridge's. (Apparently executives can get some indication based on the names and addresses on credit card statements.) I'm wondering what Barneys jewish shoppers will do now? Barneys fashion offerings are far more distinctive than Harrods were back in the day. Will Jewish shoppers chose fashion over ethics? Or is Bergdorf Goodman about to get a big burst of Jewish buyers?
