Garrard+ Webster + Jagger: Three's A Crowd

British Vogue's web site is reporting that Stephen Webster won't replace Jade Jagger at Garrard. They neglect to mention that she hasn't worked there since her contract expired last June.

My sources tell me that the next contract will have Webster's name on it, but the sticking point is that Ron Burkle, the owner of Garrard and, since Friday, a major investor in Stephen Webster, is loathe to cut all ties with Jade because of her status as offspring of Mick Jagger. I guess Ron really, really, really likes the Rolling Stones. It only makes sense that Webster would want complete control at Garrard. And, hello Ron!, it would be best for Garrard if he had it. Get Jade off of that cloud. You could always give her some money to come to the parties.
