Will Fashion Be More Forgiving Than Film For Lindsay Lohan?

Daily News gossip writer Ben Widdicombe reports that Jil Stuart's Japanese licensee doesn't want Lindsay Lohan to appear in the new ad campaigns now that she's in rehab. And since they paid for the ads, it's a problem. But talk about unfair! Kate Moss got snapped snorting white powder and everyone still wanted a piece of her. Of course Kate is a model and Lindsay is an actress and the same rules do not apply. lohan-large.jpg Lindsay Looking Good (Photo: James Devaney/WireImage.com) When Lindsay is out of control, her career -- her acting career that is -- takes a direct hit. No sobriety, no insurance. No insurance, no film roles. (Hollywood Deal blogger Tim Swanson gave us a complete wrap-up of L.A.'s thoughts after her car accident.) Models don't have to be insured in the same way. A fashion shoot usually only takes a day and the amount of make-up that goes on before a shoot and the re-touching that happens one can usually cover up any results of a naughty night. Stuart execs can find comfort in the fact that she ain't always the best person to represent a fashion brand. □
