Toning It Down in Davos

In past years at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, McKinsey & Co.'s parties on Thursday nights have nearly rivaled the Google blowouts on Fridays as the wildest post-dinner event of the week.

But last night, staffers said the band -- flown in from New York on Tuesday -- was told to wrap up its set early. Organizers reportedly didn't want any party to appear over the top in a year when most people are moping around the conference center.
