Krugman Data Point: a Nobel
Paul Krugman has won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science for "his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity."
Unlike other economists who work on arcane topics, Krugman is not just a professor at Princeton University known only in academic circles, but one of the better known liberal voices in the public sphere as a columnist for the New York Times. As a result, his opinions are discussed and debated in many different corners.
Here is a quick sampling of what some of Portfolio.com's bloggers have said about Krugman's views:
Market Movers: Krugman on a Paulson Lie.
Capital: Krugman Hates Goolsbee
Odd Numbers: Krugman and China's Cheap Labor
Mixed Media: Krugman and the Bogus Clinton Health Care Tale
