McCain's McMisspelling

John McCain's campaign on Thursday night lost no time in using the web to shape perceptions of how the highly-anticipated vice presidential debate went. It launched a fusillade of updates to frame the evening's events on its web site, as well as on YouTube.Liesandsighs1_5 Liesandsighs2_6

The campaign quickly released a web video that tried to paint Barack Obama's running mate Joe Biden as a liar.

The video compares several statements that Biden made during the Thursday night debate with those that he and Obama have made on the campaign trail.

A voice-over at the beginning of the online commercial asks the question: "Does Joe Biden think we're not paying attention to his words?"

By the end of the ad it became clear that its makers were so busy paying attention to Biden's words that they apparently didn't have time to pay attention to their own.

The end of the ad contains a rather ironic and distracting spelling mistake. The ad asserts that Biden is ready to "exagerrate," but not ready to lead.

No extra credit for the web team.
