Have iPhone, Will Travel
If you are thinking about taking your iPhone with you on your vacation abroad this summer, consider the costs.
In addition to those pesky charges that AT&T tacks onto your bill from calls made outside the U.S., the iPhone adds a whole new layer of fees. If you download 50 new emails when you're not in a wifi zone in Paris, you could end up with a four-digit bill.
Felix Salmon has figured out how to get the biggest bang for your buck while you lounge on the beach in the south of France or float in the thermal pools of Iceland.
