Live from Omaha: Berkshire Hathaway Coverage

In an era of massive accounting scandals and gluttonous executive pay, there is still a shining example of capitalism at its best: The Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting in Omaha.

Portfolio.com is covering the event and its 20,000 participants this weekend, from the cocktail hour on Friday at Borsheim's jewelry store to the annual trek to a local Dairy Queen for Warren's favorite meal there: a burger and a cherry Coke.

Borsheim's and Dairy Queen are among Berkshire's many and varied holdings, and Warren, of course, is Warren Buffett, the modest Midwestern investor who stitched together a quilt of such investments to create one of the greatest investment vehicles ever.

See what's in this year's folksy movie about the company and its investments. Read about the storied exhibition hall, where Berkshire companies show off their wares--and hand out lots of samples to the investors who own them.

Coming all this weekend on Portfolio.com.
