Smith Barney, Meet Your Match

J. Jennings Moss reports from his living room in Manhattan: Here's the best line of the night in Denver.

A man named Barney Smith, in a red checkered shirt, a regular man, a working guy from Indiana who has seen his blue collar job go to a foreign worker, stands before a crowd of nearly 80,000. Before Barack Obama accepts the nomination, he talks about growing up as a Republican. Not any more.

"My country needs a person who needs Barney Smith, more than they need Smith Barney," he said. Cue the loud applause. John McCain should worry about Barney Smith and those like him.
