Obama's Wacky Minister
Okay, it's probably not great when a presidential candidate's minister says "God damn America" and is a conspiracy enthusiast but Obama isn't making it any better. His gentle distancing himself from Rev. Jeremiah Wright may not prove pivotal in the Democratic race but it gives so much ammo to John McCain and, more importantly, his Republican surrogates that it could turn the election. Obama has a close relationship with his minister and got the title of his memoir, The Audactiy of Hope, from a Wright sermon. This election seems to be all about umbrage. And Obama's minister gives plenty for the Clintonistas, of which my spouse is one, to work with. Read more here.
