Bush Calls for "Fiscal Repsonsibility"
President Bush is out on the stump today, promoting fiscal responsibility. Had he not turned surpluses into deficits, were he not pissing away $12 billion a month in Iraq; would that he had vetoed any spending bills in his first term; would that he had not proposed a Medicare drug expansion that the GAO believes will add $8 trillion to long term liabilities, he might have something to say. I realize that the deficit is coming down. I believe you might have made a case for the first set of tax cuts in 2001. I know what 9/11 did to the economy and the end of the bubble. But please, let's be real.
