And Don't Forget the Emmy!
Al Gore wins the Nobel Prize and everyone notes he won the Oscar (well, actually it went to the producers of the film about him but still....). But he also won the Emmy, too for Current TV. It's one thing to share an award with Anwar Sadat and Martin Luther King, but to actually share one with Kelsey Grammar, well, that's something.
To be serious, it obviously makes Al Gore an even bigger force. It won't put him in the presidential race. After this do you really want to stand on a stage with Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich? He does have huge clout in the process and could endorse one of the front runners. An endorsement of Obama would be a huge boon to his campaign, and a huge dis of the Clintons. An endorsement of Hillary would cement her front-runner status. And he could save John Edwards. But my guess is that he holds his tongue. His Dean endorsement in 2004 didn't help him and I think he'll be more wary this time.
