Fred On Top

Well, it looks like Fred Thompson out raised Giuliani, $12.7 million to $11 million with about $10 million for Mitt Romney. McCain and Ron Paul raised about $5 million each. None of it means that much. Everybody's got enough to play for now and none of them have done well versus the Democrats. I guess the thing I take away from it is that Thompson really is serious. Sure he gets mediocre reviews on the road but he's put together an organization capable of raking in money. That's not the only measure of a campaign but it is one. I keep wondering if Ron Paul won't pull off something. He's nowhere in the polls but New Hampshire and Nevada seem ripe for a libertarian and maybe he winds up coming in third some place and becomes the story. Brownback, Huckabee, Hunter, Tancredo are showing no movement.
