Hillary's Money Machine
If you can believe the Drudge Report, it now looks like Clinton outraised Obama in the thrid quarter by a few million and added 100,000 donors. The sums are so huge and so much bigger than the Republicans that it makes you wonder when the GOP is ever going to catch up. Surely when the Democrats pick a nominee and the Republicans rally around one, the gap will close. But in the mean time, it's not even close. You also have to wonder when Obama is going to start really closing the gap with Hillary. New polls from Newsweek suggest he already has in Iowa where Edwards remains very much in the race. I offer my usual qualifier that my spouse works for Hillary Clinton, but that said it's obviously an impressive feat that the Hillary campaign has pulled off and presumably that's after giving back all the money from financier, Norman Hsu.
