Inflation Worryworts Worry More

Uptick in Producer Price Index this morning of .6% will make the inflation hawks at the Fed nervous. I've long argued that the Fed could cut rates safely and put some more juice in the economy without inflation fears and I've also long argued that they won't. For months, there was a lot of expectation that a rate cut was in the offing. It ain't happening. Subprime would have to get a lot worse before they even thought of it.
