Are the Republicans Afraid of YouTube?
Lot of buzz on the blogosphere this morning about the Republicans bailing out on the scheduled YouTube debate in September. As you know, the Democratic YouTube debate got good reviews from me and a lot of other people. But now the GOP candidates seem to be ducking their chance to take questions from citizens who submmit them vis YouTube. Talkingpointsmemo.com has a lot on this. So far only John McCain and Ron Paul have said they'll definitely be there. This is crazy. What are they afraid of? As Josh Marshall, the brilliant entrepreneur behind Talkingpointsmemo, puts it: If they can't face YouTube they couldn't face the terrorists.
