Cross of Gold?

I'm standing by my prediction that interest-rate politics will come roaring back. The latest fed minutes show Bernanke and company are even more concerned about inflation than we thought. I'm not an economist, but hasn't history shown we can have much more vigorous growth without inflation? (Who here remembers the 90s?) And now that China/Wal Mart/weak unions mean there's no real wage pressure? What's the problem?
