Jack Flack Defers to His Esteemed Colleague...
Jack Flack loves parsing judgment and translating jargon, but always tries to stick to the corporate babble of the business world. But surfing through the Atlantic, he was heartened to see columnist Dana Milbank round-up the classic code language from the target-rich world of U.S. politics.
While many of the translations are easy W yuk-yuks, the best actually reveal underlying strategy. For example:
"I hope we can work together in a bipartisan way.'Milbank's translation: "I need to pick off one senator from the other party to pass this bill."
