This Ferrari, once owned and raced by actor Steve McQueen, is the highlight of a rare-automobile auction on Thursday in Monterey, California. His 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso Berlinetta, styled by Pininfarina, is metallic brown in color and has a beige leather interior, a 250-horsepower V-12 engine, and Scaglietti coachwork. Christies estimates the sports car will sell for between $800,000 and $1.2 million.

McQueen sold the car in 1973. Its current owner, Mike Regalia of Thousand Oaks, California, bought it in 1997 and embarked on a complete frame-off restoration.
