Clear Bag System, $25
Utilitarian, yet polished enough to evoke checkpoint envy, the Clear Bag System includes a capacious transparent case and five pump containers for toiletries. It's simple, practical, and constructed with savvy details like a flat bottom to keep contents upright and a handle. Launched this past May, the kit is already selling well at the website and at brick-and-mortar retailers.
Tumi, free with purchase
Leave it to Tumi to create a version of the ubiquitous clear plastic bag that is stylish without trying too hard, unisex, and strong enough to handle even a platinum-tier frequent flier's needs. Taller than the Ziploc version, this case comes with a set of four refillable bottles for shampoo and lotions. It's only available as a gift with a Tumi carry-on bag at its full-price retail outlets.
Mr. B Spy bag, $22
With its distinctive asymmetric shape and colorful detailing, the Spy is equal parts Jack Spade and Marni but with a Target-level price tag. The bag comes in nine colors, from pale pink to navy, to top its hefty plastic, and in three sizes (the smallest of which meets T.S.A. requirements). It's strong enough to survive any trip you can dish out.
Malin+Goetz Essentials Kit, $30
Malin+Goetz has earned a loyal cult following at both its downtown Manhattan boutique and stores like Barneys New York for its chic and effective line of bath and skin care products. This sampler contains six items, including Bergamot Body Cleanser, Peppermint Hair Shampoo, and Grapefruit Face Cleanser, in mini containers with a hip, typeface-driven design that shows through a clear plastic zip-top case.
Anthony Logistics for Men Grab+Go
This set is packed with high-quality shave cream, facial scrub, astringent, and shower products in two-ounce containers that should last for more than just a quick weekend trip. Created in response to current travel requirements, the kit comes in a solid plastic box with a Ziploc-esque plastic baggie (customized with the brand's logo) tucked inside. A percentage of proceeds goes to prostate cancer research.
Space NK Travel Containers, $20
Space NK is one of Britain's top beauty retailers, carrying insider-favorite luxury brands alongside its own products. The first U.S. store just opened in New York, and more American locations are in the works. This trim-and-tiny kit doesn't fit more than the four compact bottles it comes with, but the high style quotient of those containers makes up for it.
Bliss Sinkside Six-Pack, $25
This collection of delicately scented products from Bliss was launched in 2004, in conjunction with its appearance in the bathrooms of W hotels. Three years later, it's still available, and sales have increased healthily since the T.S.A. regulations changed last September. Among its contents are anchor Bliss products like Lemon+Sage Body Butter, Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, and a tiny bar of vegetable-based soap.
Nomadic Zip Case, $8
This understated transparent case by Japanese company Nomadic fits a surprisingly large amount in its quart-size rectangle. Plus, it's inexpensive enough to pick up in bulk. Travel-goods retailer Flight 001, which carries this case in the United States, says sales of its selection of 3-1-1 compliant bags similar to these have increased tenfold since last September.
