Nakoma
Clio, California
Nestled in the California Sierras, this course sits on 300 acres and comes with a 24,000-square-foot clubhouse and spa designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. For the $18 million price tag, the buyer also gets 73 fractional-ownership villas.
Deer Track Golf Course
Frankfort, Indiana
Hills and winding creeks make Deer Track both beautiful and challenging. And who could resist having a Roman fountain on the 18th hole? Complete with a 2,000-square-foot clubhouse, this course is priced at $1.05 million.
Lafayette Golf Club
Falls of Rough, Kentucky
Voted second-best course in Kentucky by Golf Magazine for 2005-6, Lafayette Golf Club offers 250 acres of diverse terrain. This 18-hole championship-designed golf course is next to historic Green Farm Resort, built in the early 1800s and now a bed-and-breakfast, which can be included in the deal. Suitable for all levels of golfer, the 10-year-old course is going for $4 million to $5 million.
The Links at Challedon
Mount Airy, Maryland
Located in the bedroom community of Mount Airy, Maryland, the Links at Challedon is a 6,709-yard course designed by local golf architect Brian Ault. The course, which opened in 1996, boasts a course rating of 71.3 and features water on one-third of its holes. The Links at Challedon is located about 30 miles northwest of Baltimore and was recently appraised at $5.3 million.
Ramshorn Golf Club
Fremont, Michigan
Fittingly for the Great Lakes State, this 18-holer has not one but two separate lakes. Totaling about 170 acres, the course also comes with a recently refurbished (built in the 1960s and ’70s) 6,000-square-foot clubhouse as well as a private home. Lake Michigan is an hour away. Priced at $1.7 million.
Izaty's Golf and Yacht Club
Onamia, Minnesota
Located 90 minutes from the Twin Cities, this 500-acre resort offers two 18-hole championship golf courses stretching along a boat-studded marina of Lake Mille Lacs, a popular summertime destination. For $9.5 million you get the works: indoor and outdoor pools, driving range, tennis courts, clubhouses, and a beachfront villa.
Ponderosa Pines Golf Course
Cloudcroft, New Mexico
For just  $2 million, you can have nine holes set in the ridges and canyons of the Southwest—specifically, in the middle of Lincoln National Forest, 8,000 feet above sea level. Ponderosa Pines has a clubhouse, pro shop, carts, and maintenance equipment. Not a bad backyard away from home or place for a corporate retreat.
Pecan Ridge Golf Club
Scurry, Texas
This very affordable stretch of green is just over a half hour southeast of Dallas. The rolling 18-hole course comes with a clubhouse, equipment, and a 2,064-square-foot residence complete with swimming pool. Built in 1998, Pecan Ridge can be yours for $1.05 million.
