Overview

Ulrich Korner is the Chief Executive Officer Credit Suisse Switzerland and Head of Private and Business Banking Switzerland (since January 2006). He has served on the Executive Board since 2003. Mr. Korner graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 1988, majoring in Banking, and received a doctorate from the same university in 1993. From 1989 to 1993, he was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and from 1993 to 1998, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in Zurich. In 1998, he joined Credit Suisse as its Chief Financial Officer. From July 2000 to the end of 2001, he served as Head of Technology and Services at Credit Suisse Financial Services. In 2002, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Credit Suisse Financial Services and, in 2004, he became Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer of the former Credit Suisse. Mr. Korner is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Finance Institute and a member of the Board of the Institute of Economics of the University of St. Gallen.
