Thomas J. Wurtz (45), Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, since January 2006. Previously, Executive Vice President and Treasurer, from October 2002 to January 2006, and Senior Vice President and Treasurer prior to October 2002. On July 24, 2008, the Company issued a news release announcing that Mr. Wurtz will resign from Wachovia effective upon completion of a search to hire a new Chief Financial Officer for Wachovia. Mr. Zwiener succeeds Thomas J. Wurtz on October 1, 2008 as a Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
