Stuart A. Miller has served as a Director of the Company since April 1990 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since April 1997. Before 1997, Mr. Miller held various executive positions with us. From 1997 until 2005, Mr. Miller served as the Chairman of the Board of LNR Property Corporation, a company that invests in commercial real estate and real estate-related securities, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company until it was spun-off in October 1997.
