S. James Coppersmith, 75, has been a director of BJ's since July 1997. He was a director of Waban Inc., BJ's former parent company, from December 1993 to July 1997. Mr. Coppersmith is the retired president of ABC affiliate WCVB-TV Channel 5 in Boston, and is a director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rasky Baerlein Group, a public relations firm.
