Ronald A. Matricaria

Overview

Ronald A. Matricaria, age 64, has served as a member of Volcano's Board of Directors since October 2005. He served as Chairman of St. Jude Medical, Inc. from January 1995 to December 2002, and as President and Chief Executive Officer from April 1993 to May 1999. Mr. Matricaria currently serves on the boards of directors of Invitrogen Corporation, a life sciences company, VistaCare, Inc., a provider of hospice services and Hospira, Inc., a specialty pharmaceuticals company. He is also Trustee emeritus of the University of Minnesota Foundation. Mr. Matricaria holds a bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Pharmacy in recognition of his contribution to the practice of pharmacy.
