Richard M. Sanders

Overview

Mr. Sanders, 54, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Santa Fe in connection with RJR's acquisition of Santa Fe in January 2002. From December 1999 until January 2002, he served as Senior Vice President - Marketing of RJR Tobacco while continuing his role as President - Sports Marketing Enterprises, a former division of RJR Tobacco. He is Chairman of the board of directors of the Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company Foundation, Vice-Chair of the board of directors of Santa Fe Economic Development, Inc., Chair of Santa Fe Future and board member of Minnesota Resources.
