Rick Dastin is president of the Xerox Global Products Delivery Group. He was named to this position in January 2009. Dastin is also a vice president of the corporation, appointed in October 2008. Dastin is responsible for delivering hardware and software products and platforms that meet the business and customer requirements of Xerox's target markets and sales channels - driving faster, more efficient time to market for the company's expanding product line. Previously president of Xerox Office Group, Dastin has extensive experience in product development and delivery. He joined the company in 1981 and has held a variety of positions in advanced engineering, product launch, marketing and customer support. His responsibilities have included technical program manager for Xerox's first office color digital copier, general manager for desktop printers, and chief engineer for segment six monochrome multifunction products. From 2005 through 2008, Dastin led several business teams including the Office Color and Monochrome MFP business, software and controller development. Dastin holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He serves on the board of the United Way of Rochester.
