Raymond W. McDaniel, Jr., age 49, has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since April 2005 and is a member of the International Business Development Committee of the Board of Directors. Mr. McDaniel served as the Company's President from October 2004 to April 2005 and as Chief Operating Officer from January 2004 to April 2005. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors since April 2003 and President of Moody's Investors Service, Inc. since November 2001. Mr. McDaniel also served as Executive Vice President of the Company from April 2003 to January 2004 and Senior Vice President from October 1, 2000 until April 2003. He served as Senior Managing Director, Global Ratings and Research, of Moody's Investors Service, Inc., from November 2000 until November 2001. Prior thereto, he had served as Managing Director, International, since 1996 and served as Managing Director, Europe, from 1993 until 1996. He also served as Associate Director in Moody's Structured Finance Group from 1989 until 1993, and as Senior Analyst in the Mortgage Securitization Group from 1988 to 1989. Mr. McDaniel is also a director of John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
