Ramani Ayer

Overview

Mr. Ayer, 60, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, positions he has held since February 1, 1997. He also served as President of the Company from February 1, 1997 until June 11, 2007. He previously was Executive Vice President of the Company from December 1995 to February 1997 and President and Chief Operating Officer of Hartford Fire Insurance Company, the Company's principal property and casualty insurance subsidiary, from 1990 to February 1997. Mr. Ayer joined the Company in 1973 as a member of the operations research department.
