Paulo Sergio de Oliveira Diniz

Overview

Mr. Diniz is a member of our board of directors and our chief financial and investor relations officer. He has been a member of Cosan"s board of directors since 2005 and has served as Cosan"s chief financial officer since 2003, currently also serving as Cosan"s chief financial and investor relations officer. He holds a production engineering degree from the Escola Politecnica of the University of Sao Paulo (1980), a master"s degree in business administration from IMD"International Management Development Institute of Switzerland (1985), and a postgraduate degree with specialization in human resources from Insead of France (1994). Mr. Diniz has over 20 years of experience in financial and operational aspects of large companies. He has worked for Hoffman La Roche and Banco Frances e Brasileiro in Brazil and also worked for United Technologies in the United States and the Bank of Montreal in Canada. He was the officer of finance for Telecom Italia Mobile"TIM Brasil S.A. from 1998 to 2003, responsible for finance and planning for Latin America. From 1992 to 1998, he worked at the Swiss company, Keramik Holding AG Laufen, as treasurer. From 1991 to 1992, he worked for Carrier Corporation as controller.
