Prior to that, Mr. Gelsinger was Chief Technology Officer from 2001 to 2005; Chief Technology Officer, Computing Group, from 2000 to 2001; and Vice President and General Manager, Desktop Products Group, from 1996 to 2000. Joined Intel 1979.
