Michael I. Sovern

Overview

Mr. Sovern became a director and Chairman of the Board of the Company in February 2000 and is President Emeritus and the Chancellor Kent Professor of Law of Columbia University. Since 1960, he has been a professor of law at Columbia University and served as the President of Columbia University from 1980 until 1993. Mr. Sovern is a member of the Board of Directors of Comcast Corporation and Sequa Corp. He also has served as the President of the Shubert Foundation since 1996 and is the Honorary Chairman of the Japan Society and the Chairman Emeritus of the American Academy in Rome.
