Leslie F. Varon
Overview
Leslie F. Varon is vice president and corporate secretary for Xerox Corporation, Stamford, Conn. She was named to this position October 2001. She was elected a corporate vice president in August 2001. Varon is responsible for corporate governance, for the communication and interpretation of the company's results and business strategies to shareholders and the investment community, and for shareholder services. Varon joined Xerox in 1980 as a financial analyst in the Mid-Atlantic region. Since then she has held a number of operations finance and controller assignments. In 1990 joined the corporate headquarters staff where she was responsible for a variety of finance and strategic planning assignments. Varon was appointed director, corporate audit in October 1993 with responsibility for managing all facets of Xerox's worldwide audit organization including meeting with the audit committee of the board of directors, developing the worldwide audit plan, executing comprehensive audits, and interfacing with senior management and the external auditors. Most recently, she was director, investor relations. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Binghamton University and a master's degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and marketing from Virginia Tech. Varon was born Oct. 18, 1956, in New York City.
