Leonhard H. Fischer

Overview

Leonhard H. Fischer is the Chief Executive Officer Credit Suisse Europe, Middle East and Africa and a member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse (since March 1, 2007). He was the Chief Executive Officer of Winterthur Group and a member of the Group Executive Board from 2003 to December 22, 2006. Mr. Fischer joined Winterthur Group from Allianz AG, Frankfurt, where he was Head of Corporate and Markets and Chief Executive Officer of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (2001 to 2002). Prior to that, he was with Dresdner Bank, Frankfurt (1998 to 2001), most recently as Head of Investment Banking. He obtained a Business Management degree from the University of Bielefeld (in 1986) and an M.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia (in 1987). Mr. Fischer is a member of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer Verlag, AG, Berlin.
