Joseph C. Guyaux
Overview
As president of the PNC Financial Services Corporation, Joe Guyaux leads PNC's banking businesses including its Regional Community Bank, PNC Advisors wealth management business, and Wholesale Banking, which provides leasing, corporate finance, corporate banking, business credit, capital markets, treasury management and real estate finance services to middle-market and large businesses. In his 30-plus year PNC career, Guyaux has managed each of the banking businesses enabling him to acquire the expertise, knowledge and commitment needed to leverage the business mix in order to meet customer needs, generate efficiencies and add value to the franchise. Prior to being elected president of PNC, Guyaux was chief executive officer of the Regional Community Bank and in that role instituted a successful customer-focused strategy that resulted in increases in net income, customer and employee satisfaction, and extensive employee volunteerism in the five states PNC serves. Under Guyaux's direction, the retail consumer and small business customer base grew, retention improved markedly and operating efficiencies were achieved-all while the bank continued to invest in the staff training and technology needed to deepen customer relationships. Guyaux has led by example, demonstrating in his PNC career that the plans, decisions and strategies that are pursued are first filtered through and balanced against the value they will add to all of PNC's stakeholders including shareholders, customers, employees and the communities it serves.
