Overview
Joseph A. Sullivan has been Senior Vice President and Director of the Company and Executive Vice President and Director of Fixed Income Capital Markets of Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc. since December 1, 2005. Mr. Sullivan has responsibility for municipal and taxable fixed income banking, research, and institutional sales and trading. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Sullivan was elected Executive Vice President of Legg Mason, Inc. in July 2003 and of Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. in August 2003. Mr. Sullivan had been Senior Vice President of Legg Mason, Inc. from July 2000 and of Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. from August 1994. Mr. Sullivan serves as a board member of Associated Catholic Charities of Maryland, St. Ignatius Loyola Academy, and Loyola Blakefield High School. On September 8, 2008, the Company announced that Joseph A. Sullivan, a Director of the Company and Executive Vice President of Fixed Income Capital Markets of Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, had resigned to pursue other opportunities.
