John W. Gerdelman has served as a director since September 1999. Since January 2004, Mr. Gerdelman has been the Executive Chairman of Intelliden Corporation, a company which he co-founded that provides software solutions that enable networks to operate more intelligently by automating network change management and enforcing business policy in network operations. From April 2002 through December 2003, Mr. Gerdelman was the Chief Executive Officer for Metromedia Fiber Networks during its bankruptcy reorganization. From January 2000 through March 2002, Mr. Gerdelman worked with several new ventures as Managing Member of Mortonsgroup, LLC. From April 1999 through December 1999, Mr. Gerdelman was President and Chief Executive Officer of USA.Net Inc. Previously, Mr. Gerdelman had served as an Executive Vice President at MCI Corporation. Mr. Gerdelman also serves on the boards of directors of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., a storage area network company, APAC Customer Services, Inc., a provider of customer care and acquisition services, and Proxim Wireless Corp., a broadband municipal network provider.
