Jean-Noel Machon is president of Xerox Developing Markets Operations. He was appointed to this position in January 2004. He was named a senior vice president February 2004 and has been a corporate officer since July 2000. Machon's organization is focused on growth opportunities in emerging markets and countries around the world, including Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, the Eurasian countries, India and Russia. Machon joined Xerox in Lille, France, in a sales position in 1976. He has held a range of sales and management roles since then, rising to general manager of Xerox's Northern European entity in 1995 and Xerox France in 1996. Most recently, Machon was president of the European Solutions Group, and was previously president of Xerox's General Market Operations Europe and North American General Markets Group. Prior to that he was deputy managing director of GMO in Europe. GMO focuses on on-site support of Xerox office and printing products and manages the European concessionaire channel. He received degrees in finance, Diplome D'Etudes Compatables Superieures, and in business, Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, from Lille University in France in 1975 and 1972, respectively. Machon was born Jan. 25, 1953 in Paris, France.
