Harold F. Ilg, 60, was appointed as Executive Vice President, Business Development of the Company on April 1, 2008, concurrent with his retirement from the position of Chairman of Safety National Casualty Corporation ("SNCC"), in which he had served since January 1999. Also on April 1, 2008, he was named Chairman Emeritus of SNCC. Mr. Ilg has served as a Director of the Company since August 2002. He serves on the Board of Directors of RSLIC, FRSLIC, and RSLIC-Texas. From April 1999 until October 2000, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of RSLIC, FRSLIC, and RSLIC-Texas. Prior to January 1999, he served as Vice Chairman of the Board of SNCC, where he had been employed in various capacities since 1978.
