Overview
Mr. van Paasschen has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Coors Brewing Company since 2005. From 1998 to 2004, he held several senior positions with Nike, Inc., including Corporate Vice President/General Manager Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2000 to 2004. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Vice President, Finance and Planning of Disney Consumer Products. Prior to that time, Mr. van Paasschen held various management positions with Boston Consulting Group, First Call Corporation, Goldman, Sachs & Co. and McKinsey & Company. Mr. van Paasschen also serves on the Board of Directors of Oakley, Inc. On January 14, 2008, Frits van Paasschen notified Jones Apparel Group, Inc. of his decision not to stand for re-election to the Company's Board of Directors at its 2008 Annual Stockholders Meeting. Mr. van Paasschen advised the Company that his decision resulted from the heightened time and travel demands attending his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., a position he assumed in September 2007.
