On Nov. 11, 2007, The Hershey Company announced the election of Edward J. Kelly, III, to its Board, effective immediately. Mr. Kelly is Managing Director of The Carlyle Group. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Kelly was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation. He serves on the boards of The Hartford Financial Services Group and CSX Corporation.
