Dr. Surinder Kumar

Overview

Dr. Kumar joined the Company in 2001 as Chief Innovation Officer, and in 2003 was elected Senior Vice President & Chief Innovation Officer with responsibility for worldwide research and development, product and technical development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs. Before joining the Company, from 1998-2000, Dr. Kumar was Senior Vice President, Research and Development for Bristol Myers Squibb, and from 1995-1998, Dr. Kumar held the position of Senior Vice President, Research and Development/Quality for Pepsi Company Restaurants International. On January 15, 2008, Dr. Surinder Kumar, the Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, announced his intention to retire from the Company effective as of July 1, 2008. Until his departure, Dr. Kumar will continue in his position as the Company's Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer.
