Dr. Peter Goodfellow

Overview

Peter Goodfellow, 56, joined the Board of Directors in September 2006. He currently serves as a member of our Compensation Committee. Dr. Goodfellow serves as a Scientific Advisor to Abingworth Life Science Investments, a venture capital firm that invests in both private and public life science companies. In addition, he serves as a director of the Institute of Cancer Research and as a member of several advisory boards, including the Scientific Advisory Boards of the Beaton Institute, Max Plank Institute Berlin and SCDD. Dr. Goodfellow was formerly Senior Vice President for Discovery Research at GlaxoSmithKline. He has also held senior positions at SmithKline Beecham, the Balfour chair in genetics at Cambridge University and research positions at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. Dr. Goodfellow received his doctorate from Oxford University and held a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
