Dr. Paul R. Schimmel, Ph.D.
Overview
Dr. Schimmel is a founder of Alnylam and has served as a member of our board of directors since June 2002. Dr. Schimmel has been the Ernest and Jean Hahn Professor of Molecular Biology and Chemistry and a member of the Skaggs Institute for Chemical Biology at the Scripps Research Institute since 1997. Dr. Schimmel is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Schimmel also serves as a director of Sirtris Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
