Dr. Florin has served as Executive Vice President, Publishing " Americas and Europe since August 2007. From June 2007 until August 2007, Dr. Florin served as Executive Vice President, Global Publishing. From September 2005 until June 2007, Dr. Florin served as Executive Vice President, International Publishing, and from April 2003 until September 2005, he served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, European Publishing. From 2001 until September 2005, he served as Vice President, Managing Director for European countries. From the time he joined EA in 1996 until 2001, Dr. Florin was the Managing Director for German speaking countries. Prior to joining EA, Dr. Florin held various positions at BMG, the global music division of Bertelsmann AG, and worked as a consultant with McKinsey. Dr. Florin holds Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Augsburg, Germany. On May 26, 2008, Gerhard Florin accepted a new position at Electronic Arts Inc. in which he will work on various of the Company's global strategic and transformative initiatives.
