Overview
Ganesh Venkataraman, Ph.D. is a co-founder of our company and has been our Chief Scientific Officer since September 2007 and our Senior Vice President, Research since April 2005. From January 2002 until April 2005 he served as Vice President, Technology. From August 2000 to January 2003, Dr. Venkataraman served as the Director of Bioinformatics for the Consortium for Functional Glycomics, a multi-million dollar NIH initiative to study the role of complex sugars in biology. From March 1995 to July 2000, Dr. Venkataraman was a research faculty member at the Harvard M.I.T. division of Health and Sciences and Technology, where he investigated the biochemistry and biophysics of carbohydrates and research in the area of analytical techniques for complex carbohydrates. Dr. Venkataraman received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
